Because it’s Hader and that sketch was the best thing they have done all season.  It was uncomfortable, funny and Hader nailed the underlying disdain he had for the two contestants.  His barely contained glee when he brought out the surprise guests was worth it.  I could watch that sketch every day and it would still…

Mulaney used to change the script on Hader when he wrote Stefon and he wouldn’t know it until he was reading the cards live. I’m willing to bet that “squad” line was Mulaney. Hader looked like he was reading it for the first time.

“Papa? Papa?”

“problematic” is brilliant.

I really think that line was switched last minute by Mulaney to mess with Hader, like he used to do in the Stefon sketches.  It seemed to really catch Hader off guard and kind of came out of nowhere.  But it made me crack up too.

Lobster edges Bodega Bathroom out for me, on the merits of its commitment to just a single musical - and Clawsette.

I don’t know why I laughed so hard when Hader says, “We call ourselves.....the Squad.”

Kid Gorgeous is definitely one of the best stand-up specials I have ever seen, so I can agree with this assessment.

Mullany was better at being faux-black in that Cha Cha Slide sketch than I have being real black my entire freakin’ life.

Best episode of the season, hands down. I can’t think of a single sketch tonight where I didn’t get at least one good laugh in. Hader sticking around after the cold open for arguably the funniest game show skit in ages was just the cherry on top.

The guy wrote a good Star Trek movie tho.

That bald gentleman who looks like he will be one Wick’s major antagonists is Mark Dacascos, a badass action star in his own right (check out Brother of the Wolf or Drive (1997)). Thought he was worth a mention.
