Ah, I see. There’s a similar system in Uncharted 4 multiplayer, you unlock weapons, gameplay modifiers, character skins, and cosmetic items with relic points. There are daily missions that gives you enough point to unlock several types of chests containing randomized items. This system I can live with.

Not that I play Street Fighter, but I am curious about SFV’s AAA business model. I seem to recall Capcom said that you can get unlock everything in the game for free by grinding. Does this apply to new characters and costumes as well? Or paying real money is your only option?
