I really hope so, I think the problem lies much deeper in the platform though. The manufacturers don't really care whether their devices from last year are up to date as long as they're selling the latest and greatest features in their current flagship model. Even if they can plan ahead I fear the PDK will just get

Both, really. They are one and the same.

While Jelly Bean is exciting and all, I still sort of wish they'd address the fragmentation issue first. Then we can all sing from the same hymn sheet.

While a coherent thread is achieved with this system, it's not very coherently displayed.

Very, very confusing!

Surely it will also need to know your fuel economy to make a calculated decision on whether a cheaper fuel station that's further away will still be cheaper after you've spent fuel getting there....

sort of relevant

If you want to see some beautiful scenery then head up to the lake district, the Yorkshire Dales, or North York Moors. They're a fair old whack from London but easily accessible by train.

I'm wondering now why the hell Apple even bothered adding the "Pro" suffix to this laptop, other than for marketing reasons. There are a lot of features missing (yes, I consider the ability to change RAM and/or HDD a "feature") that I would consider essential for a professional product.

Ignore the nay-sayers. You're absolutely right. It's function is to make the user experience more immersive, aesthetically speaking.

What software do you want to install?

ahh, should have read the link rather than just looking at the picture lol

I really can't imagine 2 1.5V AAs would do a very good job charging a device that's designed for 5V@1A (USB)

I agree, you don't even need to spend that much though, I've had this one for about 3 years and it's still good as new:

Nice find! No ideas on what to use them for, possibly a torrent box? Print server?

I too have noticed this. It's infuriating. I set all my gawker bookmarks to "blog.(insert gawker site here).com" and it displays correctly. If I click the header logo to navigate back to the home page though, it doesn't remember my preference!

I've found the Lubuntu version of Ubuntu to be very responsive on older hardware. It uses the LXDE environment with the openbox window manager. Comes with just about everything your average user needs, ie. Some simple office applications, MPlayer, Chromium browser, chat client, email client.
