My suggestion, the 0 debt folks have a blindspot missing the benefits of leveraging, but the folks who only look at the stock market gains also have a blind spot in really taking risk into account (because that’s what that 9% gains is paying you for - the stock market is paying you to assume risk).
I just want to add, while the “no debt at all cost” folks do make the mistake of not taking into account the opportunity cost of money, the folks who go all in on “idle money is a waste! everything should be invested, leverage up as high as you can” etc. folks also make a mistake in the opposite direction - not really…
Yea, I get lemons. What I didn’t like was that they didn’t really have a convenient way of fixing their lemons.
I don’t think China is quite at 2 billion people yet =P
Ah no my bad of course, you got it new now, because they were still selling them new, and a standard 2 year plan now would not make it to the end of support date.
I actually switched to a Google Pixel 2 two weeks ago from a Galaxy S8+ that I got on launch day because of bad experiences with Samsung. And I was a pre-order new galaxy on day 1 kinda guy.
You have a 3 year payment plan for a phone?
Try the streaming services. There’s Directv now (but if u really don’t want to support a ATT, there’s Hulu, Youtube TV, and if you want a plucky small company there’s Sling. Exactly the same experience for 1/3 - 1/2 the price.
Well, that’s why my cable company did.
Haha, I think it’s particular to dogs. Just have one particular dog who’s getting quite old now and gets car sick easily (and unfortunately, being old, needs more trips to the vet...in a car). I think it’s just like people, some get motion sickness, some don’t. But I think most people with a baby especially will…
Well, ok, if someone has the luxury of having multiple cars, and segregating each one to only certain purposes - i.e. your kids are never allowed in your alcantara clad sedan-if you need to suddenly pick them up from kindergarten due to an emergency, you will drive home first and swap to your minivan to pick them up…
Meh, if the variable you change is that neither surface ever gets dirty, then of course the one downside of Alcantara (that it’s hard to clean once it’s dirty) isn’t a big deal. That’s a lazy argument.
Obviously I meant significantly more difficult to clean - i.e. needing a lot of patience or specialized equipment.
Oh yea, of course, they are in a dog car seat with walls on all sides. Otherwise, even if they don’t become projectiles, airbags can be pretty deadly to a dog the size of a human baby.
My point is that cloth isn’t as easy to clean as leather or synthetic leather - i.e. he just mentioned how Alcantara shared all the benefits of cloth, but without the crucial fact that alcantara also shares all the bad aspects of cloth too.
They’re pretty close, I’d definitely agree that Lexus competes, but not that it beats most of its class.
The radio/music thing was the “cellphones are distracting” thing of the 1930s. Looks like the studies actually disproved that they were distracting? https://psmag.com/environment/the-1930s-battle-over-car-radios-and-distracted-driving-52823#.2x44s1jhq
HUD’s should be utilized more often too I think, or screens higher up in the line of vision (i.e. the hated for some reason ipad on dashboard screens). Even with those physical buttons, you still have to look down to see the radio channel or exact A/C setting - and arguably it’s worse since you have to look further…
I just want to add, while there are a lot of people who say they are just as good driving while talking as otherwise, I can’t speak or know of what anyone else does, but I freely admit that my driving takes a toll when ever I’m talking to someone else while driving - whether a real person or on handsfree.
