Yes, that's why in my last sentence I suggested that schools should rather ease up on regulations surrounding when parents can call in sick for their kids. I mean I understand it's not always possible to get a doctor's note, or have a parent stay at home, but school's should ease up on that.

If you read beyond my first sentence, you will notice I said exactly the same thing. They should fix this problem by allowing parents, particularly who are low-income, more flexibility in allowing their children to stay home when they are sick.

Well it's not, just like how it's not up to parents to figure out whether their kids should learn addition or not, or it's not up to parents to figure out their kids only have to go to school at 11am. In a school environment, the school's get to decide the best policies to foster education. If parents don't like it,

Umm I'm pretty sure the school's dress code does not allow boys to walk around shirtless or in their underwear.

She should have notified the school, called 911, all of the things she was previously told to do (and btw the 7 month pregnant girl was the previous student, for which she was not fired but warned not to do it again).

Wow, how was it only $60?

Well maybe she couldn't afford to be treated - but she should at least have stayed at home for bedrest - unless the school required a doctor's note, rather than allowing parent's to call in. (Actually that would be a better fix, allowing parents who may not be able to afford a doctor to call in sick)

I'm very indecisive too - but I generally don't take up the waitresses time, if I really can't decide between two items, I'll just ask the server what they would recommend, and take whichever one they do.

Well $75 million is about 30 cents for every American Citizen. Would you say 30 cents off your tax bill is a lot of money?

Also Robin has vast vast independent wealth (6000 Craploads) - I think she does have her own place a lot of the time with space for multiple dogs.

I think it might be that chicken pox is generally pretty mild - you get itchy for a week or so and it goes away. It's not something like measles which is far more serious.

Well nothing in your comment suggested that she thought or implied it was normal for most people to have everything paid for by their parents. The only thing is that she said that she personally did not have to take out loans, and her parents paid her bills. That by itself doesn't imply that she thought or was

Yep I agree - I specifically avoid drinking any beer by MillerCoors because of a line of gender stereotyping advertisement they did a while back (not that I really did before anyway). Actually not that easy since they include beers like Blue Moon. And I never go to Carl's Jr anyway. But I was just mentioning that it's

I don't think drinking so much you get alcohol poisoning is something you do because you have enough money that you don't mind paying for a hospital visit - noone wants to drink enough to have to go too the hospital. It just says he isn't smart enough with his drinking habits to be responsible.

If you can only engage in debate by relying on poor sarcasm, maybe you would've benefited from a better college (I went to a major public too, but I appreciate rational debating).

So you don't know how you didn't physically assault someone for something they had no control over (their parents paying for their college bills). Do you also feel the need to go over and slap a 12 year old with an ipod because they so deserve to get beaten up for owning something they were given.

I'm a guy who doesn't like cars, sports, or action movies - but I'm perfectly happy hanging out with people of either genders.

Well - if you are a vegan...then you are not the market that Carl's Jr is targeting.

to prevent something from happening - and that's not true, it's used in plenty of other contexts i.e. stave off starvation.

Because this is e-ink.
