An A? Just an A? If there was ever a time to pull out the A+, this was it. This will go down as one of the best series finales ever.
Ha! I didn’t even notice.
that is super cool, and speaks to the advantages of hiring queer actors to play queer roles. Lewis knew immediately the importance of William having a second chance to come out to his dad, and we’re all the better for it because that was a beautiful scene.
Rene and Dinah both looking at present Zoe and feeling how upset they are at her future fate they are determined to try to prevent was a powerful scene.
all the “well aktschually...” replies to this are amazing
Jaime Camil is now voicing Don Karnage in Ducktales, and might be getting a full-blown Talespin reboot spinoff soon. It’s a truly amazing show made by people with genuine love for the whole Disney Afternoon.
Thanks, Oliver. It’s been great to have a hub to discuss a series that otherwise would probably get no attention whatsoever.
And Eleanor was right when she argued with her boyfriend about not patronizing that coffee place with the sleazy owner: everything you do in modern society has hidden negative effects.
I’m surprised that neither the review nor anyone in the comments mentioned the recurring joke about the adages. I loved it. It was the perfect amount of meta for me, especially coupled with the bit about the feminist porn (which of course Rebecca watches).
“Women... Can’t... say adages about them anymore.”
“Women are...…
What’s the funniest is that everyone, even Michael, looked at him like he was stupid. Turns out he wasn’t.
“I don’t get why everything went wrong. I was just copying you dad.”
It’s weird seeing General Hale from Agents of SHIELD over here. Is she done with this season of AoS? I can’t remember if she was conclusively written out. Is there anyone else who’s pulled simultaneous duty on AoS and one of the DCCW shows?
The idea that the writers think NTA are right and don’t realize how they completely destroyed René’s character is one of the most depressing things I’ve read in a long time.
There’s no place for that kind of language! We were supposed to be free of the H-word this week.
This episode was terrible. This villain is terrible.
I think you hit the nail on the head about the writers not wanting Oliver and Team Arrow to look too bad. Same thing happened in season 4 with the William reveal. They needed Oliver and Felicity to split up but not in a way that would make the audience hate the hero, so they came up with Samantha’s convoluted secret…
So true. They think their delivering a deep conflict but I think a majority of people are still still struggling to find any redeemable features to NTA.
I mean, I don’t know how CSI didn’t realize that DeVoe’s body was dead before it was stabbed in the first place. The fact that this ever went to court in the first place is ludicrous.
Any significance to Cheryl spying on the Betty-Archie kiss? Please tell me she is not into Archie again, too.
