Hmph. Not so easy on an iMac...
Folks, there is NO WAY Google is going to provide ad-blocking of any kind for its browser. Ads are how they make money.
VOTE: 1Password (Mac)
@welchb: Yeah, the main reason I use Adium is because it offers the windowless contact list. Fits right next to the Dock and visible at all times.
@AT203: The original tip says to type both commands. Imagine that.
Direct deposit from my job is the only consideration for me.
I guess I have more money than time, because it's OS X for me. And it's funny but since I switched from XP a couple years ago I lost the desire to dress up the UI as something else like I did with XP.

@HeartBurnKid, creepy morbid freak: iTunes on Windows is not all it could be, I think because of the non-standard interface. For example, there's a brief delay when you click "Play" that drives me nuts. On Mac, it's the native interface (more or less). No sluggish UI library to load, no delays.
They can fill out a request form, and if I approve it next Thursday, perhaps I will buy them a cold one Friday. Or not.
It's in a folder called "p0rn" (have to correct that spelling later...), filed by name when possible.
