Using Adblock =/= Pirating.

Piracy = “Using the Internet to illegally copy and/or distribute software, which is an infringement of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (or DMCA) in the United States.”

I fully believe in using extensions like uBlock and will continue to do so until ads stop being so intrusive and have so much tracking. I do not want Google to track every single damn Website I goto because everyone uses Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. Google and anyone that uses either of those service from

Pirating is illegal, blocking ads is not.

Avoiding ads != pirating content, thats an extreme oversimplification. You wouldn’t give up the fast-forward button on your DVR, would you?

I call this service “NoScript” and “Adblock”.

How the fuck is it stealing? I dont think you know what that word means.

Why? You buy the game knowing you’re locked out if you die. That’s not stealing that’s taking a known risk for a perceived gain.

I’m not sure if you understand how stealing works. Asking people to give you money in return for a very clearly defined product with an equally clearly defined limited life cycle is not, by any possible defitition of the word, stealing.

why does it make you angry that they want to point out the fps. its not a big deal, and is useful information to some people. Get over it.

No but consoles are limited by their specs. Thats the whole point. The PC platform isn’t, Keeping a game locked at 30 fps on pc is due to pure laziness on the companies part. They don’t care enough to properly fix their game and want to push out an inferior product attempt to make as much money possible with as little

As a guy with a 144... it’s worth it, my friend.

What is it like, being blind?

That’s just a fact of life though. So many thousands of games now, no way to play them all.

The Order 1886 ran at 30 because they could not manage to get more out of it considering how good it looked, it was not a “stylistic” choice.

So you think it is ok to hide these kind of information? When you are on the list they only say at which the game runs, how you can unlock and if you get problems for doing so.

“does that small change really matter?” — Yes, yes it does.

I don’t see how anyone would prefer 30fps over 60fps but okay...

If a game was permanently locked to 30 FPS, with no way to change it, it would have to be one helluva game for me to purchase it. 30 FPS simply looks godawful. I recalls someone on the forums recently stating Witcher 3 problems could be solved by locking the game at 30 FPS, so I did that, and immediately wondered who

I’m surprised with the opposition to the Framerate police. More information is always a good thing and what they do allows people to whom it matters (which is of course not everyone. Some people are still perfectly happy with their 15” CRT TVs too) to easily see what kind of performance they can expect from the games

“For some gamers, anything less 60 FPS can feel clunky or even uncomfortable.”
