That makes perfect sense. Does the compensation to people who sold their car ever effect the amount paid on a VW buyback? Do you need to be careful about possibly getting a reduced settlement for a previous seller claim?

Supposing that you want to buy one of the cars that will (most likely) be eligible for only the emissions compliant repair compensation, would the compensation be paid to the person who owns the car when the repairs are performed after the end of the enrollment period? It seems like a great opportunity to get a used…
I would imagine that the 10 speed transmission is making the most difference. Look at the drop in RPMs between gears on the 2017 at about 2:43 in the video. It stays at the very very top of the rev range. That is going to make a serious difference.
I would caution anyone who is in category A to pay more attention to the WHY of the purchases as well. Do you really find enjoyment that is within the item itself? Or, like most, do you enjoy the temporary high that is associated with the externality of other people’s desire or longing or envy for the item? The…
I was looking to get a M2 and I can say this is EXACTLY what was occurring. The M2 was on the lot as well. I am not saying that you cannot build one at MSRP, just that it will (most likely) require more effort than you believe. Oh and wait until you go to spec a Mercedes and realize what they consider “optional” that…
Good luck being able to spec one for that price... Look up any of the sheets for the cars for sale and you will see. Also, good luck getting a dealer to give you a build allocation if these are at all limited without allowing them to “help you” select some of the options you should have.... Like that $1000 paint…
Ha ha I was going to comment about the actual issue, and then I realized that if the DEALER is only charging 185 for the part and install then this is probably at most a $40 part online.... Or just get a 10 tube of epoxy to glue it back in a way that keeps in place with more strength.
Ha ha so it will be a 80k car where replacement tires are $2500. These are going to be so expensive to maintain and the buyers will most likely not be expecting it to be so.
I have a GLC300 (same interior as the C300) and I am pretty unimpressed with the interior. It is a company car that came to me spec’d as it was. It is nice, but I was expecting so much more out of a 50k car. I really like the interior of my 2010 335i M Sport (without nav). It seems so much more premium. Something…
This is what I was going to say! Thank you for posting the figures. Keep the profitable areas and axe the rest of it. Pulling off bandages hurts and yet it must be done anyways.
Agreed 100%
This sure looks like the Rimac got a bit of a jump on the Bug. Not much, but a quarter of a second can be car lengths at this acceleration speed. This reeks of 3-5 of these runs being done and then the one that makes the Rimac look best being posted in a video.
This is what I am used to as well
Wouldn’t they just take them to whatever bank the use to use the coin counting machine? Now, 1600lbs of pennies would take several trips, but it would seem to be easier than counting the coins....
I am not sure how many people on here have actually bought cars through dealerships, but you only pay taxes on the difference between your trade in and the purchase price when you trade in a car in most states. If you trade in a car for 70,000 and buy a car for 71,000 you only pay taxes on the difference or 1,000. He…
Annnnnddddd they likely still have nothing saved for retirement or any sort of rainy day fund....
The correct response when they ask for a blood draw is.... “No”. The next statement as they likely continue to lie to you and tell you scare tactic bull shit is- “Lawyer please.” Oh, and I realize that I will need to pay for the lawyer, but that is better than getting caught in the buracratic hell that is something…
Also, this would be a really AWESOME rule change to allow for in Formula 1. Hell, let the big companies foot the bill and move the tech into really expensive cars at first to susidize the cost of production.
It was funny because when I heard about this I thought, “this will be our generation’s EFI”. This will be what bridges the gap until battery tech gets truely amazing and makes a more perfect sense.
