Preach! Everything is great about it, from the strange opening titles-onwards [strange because of those piece to camera bits by the kids and adults are abstract but say alot]. i may collect the episodes and binge it but just wish the dialogue was better. Matthew Weiner [Mad Men] would have been a great writer for this.

ah man, no lurleen lumpkin/Simpsons mention? that episode is so mythic to me because i saw it at such a young age and i just connected to the sadness in the episode, and the songs. great read nevertheless.

THis show can only reach a B since the writing sucks. I'm going to rejoin the last ep. The show has great performances but some of the scenes are just boring, failure due to Kelly's writing being meh. Plus the interrogation scenes annoy me and take me out of the show.

Where is the ep9 Star review? that was a great ep. Star is finally getting the balance right of good/ridiculous.

It seems like a fail on HBO's part, and them playing catch-up. I guess Judd Aptow has proper sway over there. I would have loved it if say Abbi Jacobs from Broad City was the star of it and it explored female comedians. but like with that Lonely Island film that came out last year, it just feels like 10yrs-to-late.…

he was great in that amazing web series BLUE, starring Julia Stiles.

I enjoy Pete Holmes podcast occasionally but this HBO show is 10yrs-too-late. i feel the whole comedian playing themselves-type of show needs to rest for a while. There wasn't anything different or original t0 make me watch ep2.

acting/directing is great but the script could be better. the dialogue is meh.

I wish the movie was good enough for me to rewatch and catch him in it, but I presume YouTube will have it.

Cool. Last I heard she had her own reality show where she was finds talent. It didn't seem that great or different from other similar contrived shows.

Yeah, I think everyone goes through an 80s electro phase. Early human league, kraftwerk to modern electro like Ladytron and fisherspooner were great to listen to, and its bound to come back in style. The Kelly o album had at least 3 out of 14 songs that were keepers.
