I thought the background looked familiar. This car must be in Monterey where I live. Sadly have never seen it driving around.

Windows store wouldn’t even let me download the damn thing. Guess I’ll go back to 4 on the xbox 360...

You don’t have to worry about a rando on the street losing their temper and pulling a gun anywhere in America. People love to act like these kinds of events happen all day, every day and that America is some war torn, wild west gun show where everyone is waving guns at each other.

And just like a table saw (which I’ve also used plenty), if you use it properly and follow a few simple guidelines (common sense), you’re almost certain to never have a problem.

Stand Your Ground wasn’t even used by Zimmerman for his defense.

A perfect example of fearing something you know nothing about. Perhaps instead of immediately condemning an object because you don’t understand it’s functions, uses, or the value that others garner from it, you should seek to understand that object. Or if that’s too much, then just don’t have an opinion on said object.

That’s pure conjecture and while it’s a possibility, you can’t make that kind of assumption. Had he gotten out of the car with a gun, that represents an entirely different mentality.

You ever use a chainsaw? Not that scary, plus it doesn’t have legs or a brain to chase after me. Also not afraid of landmines, I don’t cross between the Koreas on my commute. Oil slicks? Never come across one, not afraid. Pots of boiling water are fantastic, love pasta.

Being afraid of an inanimate object is the only irrational thing I see.

And without that gun, you might still be on the ground getting the shit beat out of you by 3 guys in body armor and metal/carbon fiber/hard plastic gloves.

Pulling a gun seems more than reasonable given the circumstances. The car driver may have said tough words, but never got physical. He then got 3 guys hitting him and as we saw from the New York “debacle,” you never know how far people will go. Could have been a couple punches or those guys might have beat him to near

I was thrilled with my purchase of VideoPass. Was torrenting every practice and race previously, but having it live now is so worth it.

I’ll almost certainly be there too. Don’t think I’ve missed a Laguna event in the last 3 years.

You guys always seem to end up in and around Monterey, Big Sur, etc. Is there anyway I can join in on some fun (and maybe ride a bike) since I live in Downtown Monterey?

Highly, highly tempted as I’ve had GPS track timer/data loggers on the mind for a long while now. I’ll sit back awhile and see how it plays out though. That’s a lot to promise.

“Last week, my daily driver slid into a curb and blew out a tire...”

Found it:

Jay Leno, despite his supreme knowledge of 100 year old steam cars, really doesn’t know the simplest things about cars. I’ll have to try and find my comment on his YouTube video when he had the Ring Brother’s Mustang.

Say you were filming something illegal and blurred out identifying information via YouTube. Could authorities approach YouTube (if they knew or guessed that the effect was applied by YouTube) and get them to remove the blurring effect to then identify that person?
