Volvo should offer the ugly wheel arch cladding as a dealer install option as does Subaru for the Outback.  Some will want the raised ride height without the ugly cladding.  A Subaru rep told me that in US, more Outbacks are sold without the cladding than with it.  They know a thing or two about the off-road wagon

This has more cargo area than 2018 v60, but still less than A4 AllRoad.  Volvo used to represent practicality.  For a wagon, that means maximum cargo.  I wish they’d design a wagon with the handsome front of this and the practical boxy back of earlier models.

If they want my money, they’ll figure out a way. It’s ugly.

Really like everything about the wagon except the ugly overly large plastic cladding, especially around the wheel wells. Would be nice if they’d offer it as a dealer-installed option. Subaru learned they needed to offer it as an option. Audi has lost some potential AllRoad sales because folks don’t like it, even if

Please eliminate the ugly cladding. Maybe offer it as dealer installed option for those who want it. At least make it half as wide as shown here. Why is any of it at all even on the rear doors? If you say it’s for ruggedness, then why isn’t it on the Enclave which is a true SUV? Grocery cart ding protection?

Lose the ugly plastic cladding and I’ll buy it. Maybe offer it as a dealer install option. That chrome strip extending past the top of the windows and terminating at the brake light is just plain goofy. Maybe rethink that weirdness.
