The only thing I can think of is that it makes the redactions more secure if you redact, then print, then scan. Otherwise you have to be very careful how you redact to make that stuff actually gone but the rest of it still actual text.

That's what I expected when I saw that this is being made as a trilogy. I read the hell out of those terrible books.

I agree - we don’t NEED this, but I sure as hell would love to get more in depth with the characters, and I would actually love to see the fallout.
