What's with the fake slo-mo on the video? At first I thought it was real slo-mo but on looking more critically I realized it was just the actor/model moving slowly. For the price of these things they could have rented a camera that could do real slo-mo or at least got an app for their phone when they filmed it.

Too late.

Well that's exactly what most counterfeiters do. They're not out copying the latest tech but the older, still valid tech.

Really the only difference is that instead of gravity "pulling" all your skin flakes that you produce daily downward, on a space station they just float around for you to inhale. They do that on earth to a certain extent but are pulled down eventually. That's what a lot of the dust in your home is made of after all.

The problem comes if you want to have a worldwide brand which a cloud service like MS does. It's no easy task to know what constitutes infringement or what a company might consider infringement. That's why professional courts and laws are involved. It's complicated.

This should be good for about 5 years until the inevitable use of it on anything and everything "just in case" will have everything resistant to it just like we did with Vancomycin.

I just sweeten sour cream and you get the same effect as Greek Yoghurt and it's half the price, at least. You can even add fruit or chocolate to it. The biggest difference is that sour cream starts with cream (that's why it's way creamier than yoghurt which uses milk) and so is more creamy to start with and has that

What are the ethics of testing something on people that actually have a need for something that works (like deet) and replacing it with this device? That is, are you endangering people with an unproven device for the purpose of a slam dunk (if it works) in marketing? How would this testing work in any case? Would you

These articles are always interesting especially since they never give any incidence of disease related to this vector. That is, how much disease is actually attributable to "the five second rule". Aside from the consistent queasiness of tech writers about biology this is no surprise.

It's probably just where I live (small prairie city) but I never see anyone "unlock" their phone except by the simple swipe method. That is, no one really locks their phone at all. I'm sure we're ripe for a bunch of thefts of phones and info but it hasn't happened yet.

It was obviously a skit with pretty corny acting. I don't think anyone seriously thinks this was a real "altercation". This kind of thing happens at cons all the time. It's meant to be amusing (the crowd ate it up). It would be disturbing if it was real. Mr. Martin offended by a song destroys someone's personal

Well the problem (for Fox) isn't that this is the last seniors for America but that the young people that used to watch the show is dropping year over year. So the ones accustomed to watching Fox (the future seniors) are not watching anymore. Your premise that people become more conservative over time might be

Bellah, you're correct that I made it sound as though my posts are being monitored and that they would be expunged if not appropriately "happier". However, it is in the spirit of the site for posts to be "happier". I was merely living up to the spirit of the site and not disparaging it within the confines of the

I just joined because of your "endorsement" on here and I must sadly report that my mood has not shifted to the happier. Of course, I'm not allowed to say it on there so I had to come back here to this social platform to give this less than happier remark.

That was patently just another joke. It wasn't that funny, was overly scripted and with hammy acting. It's exactly the kind of skit that you always see at these conventions.

I think stupidity is less of a problem than casual indifference to the suffering of others.

I prefer Zenni Optical. I would rather pay under 20 dollars for single lens glasses if I'm getting them online anyway.

The foot is no more intuitive than any other arbitrary measurement system. It's just a matter of knowing them. The foot etc system has a serious disadvantage because the whole system is arbitrary and doesn't fit together at all, being ad hoc and cobbled together over time. The fact that you have to memorize the
