Even those of us who use muskets in our more or less daily lives (historic site folks) we are VERY aware of gun issues and gun safety. No flagging, all weapons are treated as loaded, even a fake gun or dummy, steel guards. Powder is drenched or removed or separated. A situation can go from safe to unsafe in seconds.

I can see the basis for complaint. Women didn’t even exist until the 1960s, so it’s really a disservice to cover them at all. It is a history podcast, after all, and history was written by us white men.
