The only way to stop gentrification is to put gluten in all foods within a 10 mile radius. After the initial die-off, the outlanders will migrate elsewhere.

My two sons have played a lifetime’s worth of Xbox and handheld Nintendo this snowed-in long weekend. It has not been my finest parenting moment! It has not been my finest moment along all kinds of different axes. On the other hand we are all alive and have not even tried to murder each other
“Now let’s take a look at that from the body cam!”
Yeah weird to talk through the prism of your own experiences, or those of people you love. Super weird.
My son is 12 years old and he loves Macklemore. I had mixed feelings about him until my son asked me about the first White Privilege song and what it meant. I am so grateful for an opportunity to start an important conversation with my kiddo about our privilege in a way that doesn’t come across as another lecture from…
Not a single person anywhere on this thread or in the post said you should be ashamed. Not a one. Literally no where. Perhaps listen to the song and reread the post.
This guy, Macklemore? This is the kind of try-hard that I like.
This area has alot of transient people, some were born and raised in snowy climates, others down south, and even some that never saw snow in person. It’s a horrible combination of drivers on one road. I’m sure in your area everybody knows how to drive in the snow creating a better flow of traffic so for the sake of…
I live in a place with actual cold and actual snow - Central Alberta. I never make fun of people in other places who have issues with winter driving. By the time it snows for real here, the ground is usually frozen to about 18 inches deep. That means the snow doesn’t melt when it hits. It packs up and adhesion is…
Because Quebec? It’s not actually a state funeral (sorry, Celine), it’s one step down from that, but it’s still funded by the province. It’s pretty weird and most Canadians don’t really get it but also don’t really care.
He was very a very famous figure in Quebec music, long before he ever met Celine.
No. He was a celebrated figure in his own right in Quebec, so it’s a bit like a state funeral in a way. Also a contributing factor is her penchant for larger-than-life ceremonies/spectacles.
I think receiving lines are pretty common, yes. When a friend of mine passed away at 20 the funeral was huge - family, high school friends, college friends, parents’ friends, parents’ coworkers, you name it - over 300 people in total. His parents and brother stood there for hours, greeting every guest, one by one.
Hahaha ok.. Woe is ignorant me
reminds me of our girl Angela and Marc Jacobs
In college, during a particularly sad dry spell I made some joke about having to put twigs and leaves over my vagina in the hopes that I could trick someone into falling in. A few years later, I see Margaret Cho doing the exact same joke. Clearly, Cho didn’t steal the joke from me. I’m not making a definite judgment…
“at least Cosby knocked his victims out b4 he raped them.”
There are 8,000 sensory nerve endings in Philadelphia.
I know a lot of folks who enjoy visiting Knoxville but it’s never really been my thing.
Every woman I’ve ever been with has told me they’ve never experienced thundersnow. But we all know that thundersnow is a myth.
