It's Mack. That story about his daughter Hope…didn't that sound just a little too pat to anyone else? I mean come on, "the day hope died"? That's so cliche it's got to be an easter egg. Mack would never lie like that, but his LMD might.

Mack and Yo-Yo.

I liked when Dalton kept jumping characters after his brain got fried — Hive, then Ward, then Malick's brother, back to Hive, Ward, Hive, Ward, Ward, Ward…slowly…becomes…Hive…again. Dalton didn't even change expressions, but you could see it so clearly in his eyes and hear it in his voice.

Daisy: Lincoln you can't do this!

Gordon is happiest when he's following someone else's vision. Basically, Donna was the tech lead for the Giant, not Gordon. She was the one with breakthrough ideas, not him. This is not to excuse Donna, who's rationalizing some pretty shifty behaviors (and not for the first time), but Gordon wouldn't be jumping off

"BLTQWERTY"

I enjoyed the brief cross-coupled kissing scene during the party. It was elegantly sensual.

"Quantumlink"

I think Donna had just (finally) reached the point where she had to face up to what would work for her — or, rather, what might work. Anything less was just a non-starter for her emotionally.

"I don't think Donna was crying for her abortion, she was crying because…she doesn't love him anymore"

"Not 1, but TWO"

"I haven't had a chance to re-watch the opening scene"

I don't think anyone has "blamed everything" on Joe.

Very cool idea, but no. There's no possibility. It's made very explicit that the opening scene happened prior to the start of S2.

Hmm. Well if his drug use hadn't been such an ongoing a theme, I'd agree that's a good point. Given that it's been such a theme, I actually feel the opposite because…

Well, he suggested that as an example. You could be right, though. It's possible the drugs are symptomatic of some other condition. I still think we'll find he never stopped doing coke. Too much effort's been put into showing Gordon with substance abuse problems.

No one's commented yet on two things that stood out for me in this episode, so here goes.

Initially I had the same reaction, seemed a bit much that they invented 3D gaming along with everything else. On second thought, I realized it's actually quite credible. 3D doesn't have to mean wireframing with applied textures and sprites — what we're used to now. You can use a much cruder, block-based model to

"didactic or dismissive"

Ok…I guess I don't have a sense of connection to the term sociopath. It seems to be applied so broadly that I've always avoided it in favor of more specific considerations. But you're probably right.
