Didn't Woo win that puzzle on the final (or second-to last?) immunity challenge on his season? Beating Spencer if I remember correctly.

Of the eight players who didn't get an establishing confessional in the opening episode, three are already gone. Three of the others are Keith, Woo and Monica. Only Stephen and to a lesser extent Terry are bucking the trend so far. (I have been blogging about this, but I can't remember if it's poor form to plug your

Aww, Spencer's not-imaginary girlfriend. Smart move from him though - you just know that Jeremy's going to love the idea of being asked for dating advice because he's OBVIOUSLY so good with the laydeez.

The thought of them both complaining about being bullied/victimised by the other is pretty awesome, in a mean-girl way.

I guess Jeff was just relieved the target was on someone other than him. The bigger concern for me is his failure to rally his troops back and make sure they got rid of either Savage or Tasha; it was like he just gave up.

In fairness, Peih-gee approached Shirin and started that.

I agree totally about the construction of the episode - hit lots of themes, worked as a self-contained arc, and set the scene for what's going to be a longer-running series arc as well.

Interestingly, watching the last challenge the weak spot to me looked like it was Varner – he was trailing over the obstacles and looked like he was barely pulling the crate.

We have 9 men and 9 women left, so you should expect all three new tribes to have an even gender split. I'd swap Peih-gee with Jeremy or Stephen (reluctantly).

"Who needs food when we have Abi!"

Jeff was super-conscious last episode about how he was 'rewriting his survivor story' etc. I've got him down as a Penner.

My love of Savage pretty much correlates with how much facial hair he has. I could do with him improving his stubble game pretty quickly right now, to be honest.

"I don't think you can drag somebody 39 days."

I find the departure from normal Survivor editing for Shirin and Spencer's boot interesting – rather than allowing us to revel in their hubris and delight in their sudde fall at TC, instead we stuck with them on their journey and focused on their bond, their understanding of their fate, and the reluctant acceptance

Look, they're already exerting themselves very hard by occasionally including shots of Kelley doing things/having independent thought. You expect them to do that for TWO hot bikini girls?

Despite his bad episode, I think Spencer's looking good, edit-wise.

Well then, you are in luck, my friend. Season 2 appears to be on youtube. Worth it for the mariachi band, and Sven (<3).

It really is a struggle to decide which dating show concept is more inherently offensive - this, or the British show 'Playing it Straight', in which a woman who believes she has signed up for a dating show is told that actually about half the male cast are secretly gay, and to win the show she has to ultimately choose

"If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."

In terms of the mass stabbing, are you perhaps thinking of Murder on the Orient Express?
