How many times do you have to be told that it’s against union rules for an actor to tamper with or open a gun on a movie set? Because you REALLY don’t want to have that nightmare, especially on a Western set where dozens of actors will be handling weapons.

That’s why they have armorers on the set in the first place -

I ran the numbers a while back and average ticket prices in 2004 were about $10 (in 2024 dollars), and they’re $10.71 today.

i mean anything is possible, but i was just trying to relate with you and tell you something positive i’ve noticed about the point you were initially making.

...what? yeah i’m saying i’m seeing it as a trend amongst young people at rep screenings. i was trying to agree with you, and saying there is a market for rep screenings of classic movies, which was your point.

As a theater and streaming patron: Both services suck.

No. Loren’s comment is spot on, actually. Hassenger writes hot take clickbait bullshit and then goes up and down the comments section arguing in bad faith with anyone who disagrees with him. All you’re doing is revealing your lack of familiarity with his M.O.

It’s infuriating how smug and condescending you are with your contrarian clickbait takes. I surmise you know exactly the response people have, and you aim for it. I don’t even know if you’re serious or not with the many eye-rolling opinions you’ve expressed.

I sort of feel like suspension of disbelief is what I’m paying the movie to do for me. Not consistently be reminded... “oh yeah, I’m not supposed to think about how dumb this is”

While we’re at it, can all we acknowledge that The Rock is a secretly James Bond movie? #TeachTheConspiracy

Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981)-Great movie. As said in the article, it is perfect. Even it’s biggest flaw (that you could take Indiana Jones out of the movie and it wouldn’t affect the outcome) isn’t that bad and easily ignorable. It’s just fan-fucking-tastic. 10/10

I cant understand why anyone likes Temple, it’s racist as hell, Willie is nails on a chalkboard and even Spielberg admits it’s not good.

Yeah, RiffTrax should have already riffed Prometheus. I’d watch the hell out of that riff

Big boy!  Bless him.

My biggest problem with SM3 isn’t actually the too many villains or the dancing or any of the things people normally point to, it’s actually the Sandman plot. Retconning him as the guy who kills Uncle Ben completely undercuts the Spider-Man origin story. If the guy who Peter fails to stop isn’t the one who offs Ben,

Yeah, this sucks. I was literally just earlier trying to show someone my #1 moment in Daily Show history... where Aasif Mandvi is interviewing a North Carolina GOP chairman who’s sharing some racist thoughts and Aasif finally looks at him and says, “You know that we can hear you, right?” It’s still the top search

Is your username your cat’s name?

As much as Raimi wanted to include Sandman, there’s just no place for his character in the final story. If the movie were just about Harry and Peter’s friendship, with Eddie as the dark Peter, it works really well - something The Dark Knight sort of did (much better) with Bruce/Harvey. There really isn’t any place for

Of course, that’s the only way an F4 set in the past could work in the context of the MCU. We’ve seen a lot of the Marvel timeline (from Captain America: The First Avenger to Hank Pym’s backstory in Ant-Man to the time-hopping in Avengers: Endgame), and no one has ever mentioned an eclectic group of scientist-heroes

The article implies that the phrase "Butt Stallion" wouldn't be allowed in a PG-13 movie, so... Yeah.

“all mugging like crazy to try to convince you how much fun they’re having”
