I think the main issue here is time. It seems like they started working on this in March and went the emulation way also because of this.
Just a tip: headbutts seem like the logical way to move the ball around, but in my experience, just hitting them with your body is more effective and takes less time.
What worries me the most is not the “Physical vs. Digital Games question”... Just think about “On premises vs. Cloud Gaming” in a few years.

This is my absolute favorite SNES soundtrack, and I’ve been playing Axelay on a daily basis again for a few weeks now.
I’ve been playing this for a few hours and I’ve been laughing like a maniac. It’s fun in pure, unfiltered form.
That’s why the newer models use a regular button, I think.
I bet you have one of the older PS4 models that have those (I think they are called) inductive buttons on the front - the ones that do not click.
