I don’t see how being an asshole ingame could exist in fighting games. The game gives you tools and you are allowed to use it for whatever objective you want. There’s a lot of ingame stuff FGC players do just to psychologically impact their opponents.

Square Enix is really going all out with the marketing campaign for FFXV. I’m in Japan right now and every retailer has a dedicated space for the game (Sofmap stores are a good example) and some department stores have gigantic marketing pieces.
