Warner Bros. throws about a tweet about something that has nothing to do with them and that they didn’t really have any business commenting on, and it’s the guy pointing out their hypocrisy who you think is being selfish?

I think he’s implying that it’s really easy for WB to make a tweet about racial justice while they throw black actors under the bus.

I like that at CNN, the headline for DMX’s passing is above the passing of Prince Phillip. I’ll take a rapper who clawed his way up who struggled and became an artist who spoke truth and poetry, over a fucking royal who had everything handed to him.  DMX was given half as much time, but did so much more.

Yeah, but the whole point of the monarchy is that it’s supposed to be aloof and worshipped from a distance. People went/go way overboard with Obama, but at least he was an elected leader and public servant. Nobody voted for Philip or were swept up into his political movement. Like, I’ve been in the same room as Obama…

I know America has done a lot of reprehensible shit in the 250+ years of our existence, but kicking the monarchy to the curb was definitely one of our greatest accomplishments.

What’s the point of having a monarch if you don’t get a holiday when a member of the royal family bites it?

Wrong - as a UK citizen I am still working. Well, I’m on an American entertainment website arguing the toss with people I have never met, but in principle I’m working.

As an American, few things bring a tear to my eye faster than seeing a royal die of natural causes.  Oh well, better luck next time.
