He was also great in High Life, and it looks like he’s great in The Lighthouse too.

...he’s also in Looper though. I guess they can’t all be zingers.
Either he’s going to follow Ledger’s example and totally redefine the character, or he’s going to follow Jake Gyllenhaal’s example and just be really fun to watch. (And still out-act everyone else involved while comparatively phoning it in.)
As AntsNMyEyes said, Prisoners is great. He’s also in Little Miss Sunshine (even better than Prisoners), Swiss Army Man (even better than Little Miss Sunshine), and a little ol’ film called There Will Be Blood. He is legitimately a brilliant actor, and I look forward to him either a) drastically refining the character…
The ‘other famous actors play similar characters’ bit is the most cringe-worthy part of the trailer; pretty damning that that’s apparently a highlight of the film :/
Really? I’ve always thought that Gervais’s cackle was a fairly cynical attempt to convince the listener that what he’s saying is really funny.
I’m veering away from verisimilitude now but I like the idea of getting Domhnall and Brian Gleeson in as Don Jr. and Eric.
If we’re trying to match Gleeson’s acting calibre, I’d say Paul Dano over Cera.
“Brendan Gleeson, the acclaimed Irish actor you’ve seen in
everything from Harry Potter to Braveheart to Paddington 2In Bruges and Calvary or GTFO”
They were all surprisingly well-received though, considering that they were all garbage.
Does anything happen to Eddie in the miniseries? I can’t remember anything happening to any of them, except Stan of course.
There’s a scene near that start of the film that, I would say, yes, does call to mind Svankmajer and the Quays.
“Even more so than Finn Wolfhard did as a young Richie in Chapter One, Hader picks up the whole movie, puts it in his pocket, and walks away with it.”
Starring for the last sentence only. Predominantly white casts and predominantly black casts are not comparably problematic and you know it

Let’s try to figure out what this “molten vomit” means:
Fair enough – ‘Metronome Arthritis’ is definitely up there too, I really should listen to that record more.

Yeah I think that those are my two most-played, with Kill Taker just a handful of plays ahead. As with Bungle, it’s not like any of the preceding or following albums are at all bad!
