I think he means he and his friends gave it the Mystery Science Theater treatment because it was so boring.

Too right. For example, check out the scene where Bullitt and the other detectives receive a fax. Its also fun to check out the cars in the backgrounds, parking lots, etc. And get this- because it actually was filmed in San Francisco in 1968, no one even thought of sticking in a bunch of hippies to make it look like

Way to look out for all the women out there doing gigs that they enjoy.

But what about all the women that enjoy cheerleading? We should fuck them over “in their best interest”?

“But, the girls already have puppies.......”

I failed to see any meaningful data in the article supporting the ban of grid girls.

A friend once gave me a copy of “Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom” and said it was like an Italian Monty Python film. The bastard!

I’d admit it isn’t a Michael Bay explosion-fest, but it’s a solid piece if you’re looking to take a trip back in time and enjoy something that is quite ‘of it’s time’. No, it’s not Bond, but I think it’s a better insight into late-60's/early-70's culture than most. There’s a bit of mystique about McQueen as well, and

I like Bullitt. But it does require that you have an attention span of more than a minute, unlike many recent movies.

It’s tough having to pay attention to what is being done and said by the characters, isn’t it? I assume that you hate The French Connection too? That whole “gritty realism ” thing they did back then was just so stupid when they could be blowing shit up. C’mon Irv, what the hell is that?

I quite like Bullitt. But I like 60's pacing vs. the frenetic pace of a modern action film. Even understanding that I genuinely like Bullitt, Ronin is way, way better.

Having seen it first-run in a theater, you’ll never get it. Everybody’s head was bopping up and down on the hill sequence. It was amazing.

Wrong. Bullitt is actually quite a good movie.

BS. Bullitt is a great movie. It is a realistic portrayal of a 60's police procedural. More akin to a Dragnet episode. Ok so it’s not for everyone but I bet you Bullitt haters probably hate Michael Mann’s Heat too.

What roars downstairs alone, or in pairs?

Because pearl clutching fear of guns.

Eh, if it was a Tesla Jalopnik as a whole would be drowning in drool over the exact same interior. If GM had made something futuristic and insane Jalopnik would be complaining about them trying to hard or not having realistic expectations. They make something realistic and they’re phoning it in.

This is Jalopnik you’re talking about, they can’t pass up an opportunity for a good ‘ol GM bashing circle-jerk...

They like cake icing so much, they got it all over their face :P

Talk rusty to me, baby....
