Honestly the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 doesn’t make much sense either. When it comes down to it, the car is a Shelby Mustang (Model) GT350. The only reason Ford is listed on there now is because Ford is the one producing the cars, but the original Shelby Mustangs were produced by Carroll Shelby and not technically

Technically, a Shelby is not a Mustang at all, it is a Shelby. Ford authorized Shelby to use the Mustang design in the original production of the Shelby series back in the 60’s. The fact that Ford is not technically producing the Shelby GT350 and the Shelby GT500 does not change the fact that it is not a Mustang at
