Woo, now there’s a nostalgia bomb. Total Annihilation was ENTIRELY my jam in my senior year of high school. I loved setting up games where my base’s defense was so well optimized that I could step away from the game for hours at a time and come back to a mountain of surplus metal & energy. Or send one of those flying

For once I actually hope they manage the merger - frankly the current state of Activision-Blizzard is so bad that this is one of the only cases where I genuinely think it might improve things. And honestly if the federal government suddenly wants to enforce anti-trust law there are a lot of better areas to focus

Remember John Oliver’s Hemsworth rankings?

Chris Hemsworth > Liam Hemsworth > No Hemsworth > Luke Hemsworth

Well, their track record for honoring pre-orders seemed promising!

“catering to the older audience”

This is a much higher rating than I would have given it. And to be clear, I think season 1 was one of the best TV shows of all time, but it’s been diminishing returns since then, and of the finales, this is the worst finale. Lots of scenes not connected at all, lots of random things happening, bad pacing, leaning on

You can... just download it and play it right now.”

Since they’re clearly restarting the project from scratch and the budget will no doubt significantly increase due to it being developed in Montreal instead of India... can they just make a new PoP? Please? It doesn’t need to be a 100+ hour, open-world GaaS epic. Just a 15-20 hour, linear, level-based game with

That’s not a border collie suit, that’s a regular collie suit.

I would encourage you to see a doctor if your dick looks anything remotely like that thing

So is this a release as a launch title for a “Switch 2", or release as a launch title for a “Switch Pro” situation?

Switch Pro opening day lineup 2023:

BOTW pt 2
Metroid Prime 4
Super Mario Kart 9

$5 on the likelyhood of the switch successor being announced to launch around that time.

As Philadelphia ex-pat who hasn’t lived in the region in over 20 years, my main reaction to the news clip is this: Holy crap, Jim Gardner is still the main anchor on Channel 6's Action News? I’m pretty sure he’s had that gig since the 70s. That has to be some kind of record for a newsman. How old is that guy? He never

You aren’t old, it was just designed to be a harder game akin to a Dark Souls, but then they added new difficulties that they didn’t do any real proper rebalances for.

You end up with a weird up and down difficulty that just seems to sorta ruin the experience.

Nah, its just that “Souls like” games are such a fad that everyone tries to make games more punishing.   At least they give the option to turn down the difficulty

I like the Arkham Batman games and the new Spider-Man games for how easy and fun the combat is. I’m Batman, if you drop me in a room with 20 street punks I SHOULD be able to effortlessly clean house. Fallen Order was just silly. If I’m confronted with 5-10 Stormtroopers it should be just as easy to wreck shop.

Once again, the entirely online part? Totally ok with that. My problem is whether there’s no shows again, for me E3 is largely a way to get trailers all in one point so I can figure out what I’m interested in. When companies decide to drag it out by throwing these all over the year it’s frustrating, so the success of

A friend of mine actually went this year and I’m waiting on his impressions of the entire thing. But as someone watching at home who lost interest completely midway through, I can’t imagine how 3 hours uninterrupted advertising must feel.

Yeah definitely.
