They should have taken at least six months after launch to see how the was doing and work on core issues before trying to do season. And yearly expansions apparently! Are they insane?
Yeah, strange that vanilla L&O and Criminal Intent didn’t restart their rooms I guess? Unless they were always going to be midseason
The truth of the matter is.. they get paid either way. It’s the same thing Funko. It’s always lip-service that they will do better next time to prevent bots and scalpers. But they don’t. And why should they? They got their money. Doesn’t matter who gave it to them.
YouTube, so close enough.
On the Inside Conan podcast, the 6/24/2022 and 8/2/2023 episodes are Conan and Jeff Ross talking about getting the late night show. As you can imagine, Lorne’s name comes up a lot. They are great episodes to listen to
The biggest issue is that, for the on-site workers, they are living in North Carolina. If they want to stay in the games business, those 6 months are going to be spent moving.
I miss Thinkgeek :( I agree, what Thinkgeek sold for the most part were evergreen products - video game, fantasy and sci-fi collectibles. It was a really neat place. The 8ft of shelves that showed up at the front of Gamestop stores was not a replacement.
I think the problem is most of GameStop’s money now probably…
That’s a product of having to make weekly episodes with cliffhanger endings on each. Every Marvel and Star Wars show has it (oh god I just remembered Secret Invasion just aired ahhhh). Sometimes they just need to kill time or the episode would be 20 minutes. Ashoka was surprisingly 8 episodes instead of the usual 6.…
I do wonder if Microsoft will consciously uncouple some of the stupid support studio moves Activision has made lately. Pretty sure VV has done all they can to help with Diablo 4. And then you have all those studios that just came CoD support studios. Which doesn’t seem to be helping get new games out.
Ah, I remember ordering books from Amazon in 2008 when that’s all they were. I agree with most of this, except the prices. I find things on Amazon to still be cheaper than local? Not sure their monopoly is really driving prices up. Also they continue to have random things I need to fix up the house that just can’t be…
Is Rogue One even an Edwards film? It sounds like Tony Gilroy came in and reshot a lot of it. Good reason for it to feel choppy in edits. Edwards was asked about it recently and gave a very professional answer
I mean that’s fine - if we can get some more real IMAX screens. The IMAX at AMC stuff doesn’t count. I do plan on seeing Dune Part 2 on an IMAX. Heck maybe even more 70mm IMAX screens since they are few and far between.
Oh I absolutely expected them to exit hyperspace in our galaxy.
Hmm? He’s getting a big payday but he (most likely) will be gone and on a yacht by the end of the year. So we get what we want. Even if he does too
JohnRiccitiello? The former EA CEO who over a decade ago proposed charging people to reload their weapons in an FPS? Sounds like Unity knew who they were hiring.
I mean, the reason to not go back to cable is that most of this content isn’t available on cable. So obviously it all depends on what you want to watch, but cable wouldn’t help me with over 50% of the shows I watch.
Sea of Stars is what I expected all of Square’s “Project” games to be, but they keep falling short. Not sure why an indie studio who has never made an RPG before can capture the magic and nostalgia better than Square can.
That’s quite a hot take you have there. Luckily a trip over to the FoundationTV subreddit shows you are in the minority and most book readers are enjoying the show - while accepting it’s not a straight adaption of the material
