"You say this sulfuric acid is really caustic, but doesn't lemon juice have a low pH as well? You drink that stuff all the time!"

Neal Adams is too busy muttering to himself about how plate tectonics is a myth. (Seriously, the comics industry vet who was supposed to be working on the Bucky O'Hare revival is also a barking-mad fringe geologist. Look him up!)

Yes, it's a shame that people doing comedy won't turn themselves to more serious topics, Beer O'Cock.

For the same reason that Paul F. Tompkins's Cake Boss sounds absolutely nothing like Buddy Valastro? They're going for light comedy here, not Linguistics 101. I think Pee-Wee's Playhouse is a good guideline for how much real-world accuracy you should expect. :)

And when you've got nothing to offer at all, go to the AV Club and bitch about somebody else's work.

Kids, drinking and hermeneutics don't mix. ಠ_ಠ

"It really offends me how these characters in this fictional program are stylized versions of real people!"

You know, Jay, I am only saying this because I care, but there are a lot of decaffeinated coffees on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing. Your doctor will thank you, your girlfriend will thank you, and Jay…? Confidentially, I think your Internet will thank you.

LET'S TRIM OUR HAIR IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BRIAN LIFESTYLE

I'd say the same thing about Will Farrell, but that didn't seem to stop anybody.

If we started nitpicking the Western genre for that kind of verisimilitude, the whole thing would fall apart. Accept it as a unique American form of historical fantasy and live a happy life. :)

Usage is God, the Victorians are dead, and prescriptivism is over. Deal with it, pinkboy. :)

What discussions? You came in here with such a chip on your shoulder, the prospect doesn't exactly sound inviting. You've already pretty much declared how you feel about the show, you haven't shown any sign of being able to tell those opinions from objective fact about the show's quality, and at the first sign of

Has anyone else seen the Mr. Show where Bob and David bring their old high school coach on?

And after you've worked so hard to become a big sophisticated adolescent…

Oh, my bad, it required *two* dismissive one-liners. Now, if you want to support any of your points with reference to specific things that have happened on a sitcom called "Community", instead of generalized dismissals that could apply to anything from a Shakespeare play to an Amway recruitment video, we might almost

Thank goodness! I thought it was a subtle matter of opinion that would have taken more than six words to settle! We would've been screwed if you hadn't come along.

No, I totally agree with you, Ascension is a far superior game. I've enjoyed the tabletop version of Quarriors as a knockaround, beer and pretzels game with other actual people, but it's not really gripping enough to be a great iPad game, especially not with this kinda blah implementation.

Hmm, there was just an update to Quarriors that supposedly fixed the awful tutorial, but I have this sinking feeling that it came long enough ago that you ARE playing the "fixed" version… :( Check the app store for updates and give it a shot, though.

I've seen people defend listening to Enya, too. It's a big world. There's plenty of room for us all to suck in our own ways. <3
