@ugly: As many of you should know, us Hawaiians live in little grass shacks on the beach. The only things we do are pick pineapples, eat luau pork, hula, and surf. Yet we all manage to have broadband internet connections and foncy-schmancy computers.

@TheLouis: I haven't experimented with RAID 0, but I'm pretty sure RAID 0 should be safe with a brand new HDD. It's a bit of a gamble, though. You'd be best off doing a RAID 1 on it for insurance, rather than try to double your disk space.
