What a beautiful episode. I continue to love just how much SU can plainly portray its protagonists as flawed beings who can hurt others, accidentally or not.

Oh man, I absolutely adore those touches and turns of language in Pearl's songs. Just another way in which she's the best (crystal) gem. As for the tandem fighting, not only was the choreography amazing, but it warms my heart to see Steven and Connie so in sync. They're the best.
While the arrangement might take some time to get used to, I'm absolutely in love with the new visuals. Not only is the animation quality streets ahead, but there are so many rad touches, especially to put Steven on the same level as the gems now that he's grown. The best of those details might be recontextualizing…
Oh my god, what a return! So much going on, I don't even know where to start! As always, Connie is the most adorable dweeb, reaching maximum levels when shouting after the seagulls, and The bond she shares with Steven is somehow becoming even more amazing. Even though this episode was uplifting for them, the moments…
I cannot stress enough how great a piece of radio Mystery Show #3 was; it feels like the first full realization of its potential. Starlee did an amazing job of weaving the narrative, painting each character as unique and fascinating, and building to a surprisingly poignant climax. If it can stay half as good as this…
Five years and nearly five full seasons later, it happens. It's impressive, to say the least.
I wish him the best, and hope his recovery's gone along well. Tracy, playing the part of Tracy, was a huge part of my life on air for nearly 7 years, and I still return to 30 Rock consistently when my spirits need lifting. Seeing something like this happen is just tragic.
A bit disappointed not to see coverage of Gimlet's new Mystery Show. Hosted by Starlee Kine, formerly of This American Life, she spent the first episode sleuthing around to find out what happened to a video store in New York that allegedly disappeared overnight in 2005. The conclusion to the mystery was a bit weak,…
Speaking of, I'd love to see an interview later down the line with Steven Universe's composers, Aivi and Surasshu. She's a pianist, he's a chiptune artist, they started collaborating over a mutual love for video game music, and they're currently engaged and adorable.
As much as I loved Keanu in the first, his story arc felt finished by the end; what I really wanted was just to learn more about the Continental and the movie's criminal underworld. Would have loved to see another in-universe movie about a different character. Still, I guess it's hard to argue with star power.
Most of what I want to say's been said already, so I'll just say that I hope the full set of regenerations means that we'll be getting an updated theme song soon. Ever since Pearl regenerated, the old costume's presence in the opening has irked me.
By nature of the time travel, wouldn't Eobard's odds of death have to be equal to or greater than his ancestor, Eddie?
Slightly higher grades!
No wonder Greg wasn't around in Beach City this week.
Not so hot on the chart, but I have been wishing for a show based on Fraction's Hawkguy for ages. The main issue there is that MCU RennerClint wouldn't fit the tone very well at all.
The more I think about it, yeah. It's been so long since Adventure Time's been on, and even longer since we've seen Ice King, my expectations have become all sorts of skewed.
I enjoyed the humor and themes, but much of this fell flat for me. Maybe it's because I've been so immersed lately in the kinder atmosphere of Steven Universe, but the character work on Ice King just felt unnecessarily cruel to me. For one, I've loved Simon's burgeoning friendship with Abracadaniel, and they decided…
I just adore how, even in a "low-impact" episode like this, the entire crew always brings their A-game. The poster-drawing and shirt-making montages were well-directed and, as per usual, impeccably scored by Aivi and Surasshu (Fun fact: those crazy composers are engaged, and it's adorable.). The shirtsassination scene…
The show is named Daredevil, but the man not quite yet in red certainly has his money cut out for him in vying for the position of my favorite subplots. The stealthy takedowns and fight sequence in the garage was legitimately frightening (props tothe great lighting dynamics via taxi headlights), but D'Onofrio's Fisk…
