One of my favourite Gilmore Girls moments is Jess and his dad sitting in awkward silence while Suffragette City plays and simultaneously mouthing "Wham bam, thank you, ma'am."

Yes? The first one is a pretty decent popcorn movie. I don't mind sitting through it if I trip over it on TV on a rainy Saturday. STID can DIAF, however.

My Scotty Deadpool rankings are currently as follows…

Oscar Peterson and Christopher Plummer went to the same high school in Montreal. I was in the audience in Stratford when Plummer came out for a post-performance interview with The Toronto Star's theater critic. He was talking about music in his youth and he was asked if he played piano in his high school band. He

It's super fun when you forget you put it in the freezer and it explodes.

I'm disappointed that Soapdish seems to be getting lost in the sands of time.

Oh no, it certainly doesn't let us off the hook. We do have our own historically shitty behaviour. I didn't mean to imply that Canada is innocent, just that racism isn't quite as in your face on a day to day basis here as it is in the US. So even though it is a naive reaction, it can feel more shocking when these

That mosque burning is awful. So frustrating to see things like that happening. Unfortunately, though, it's not terribly surprising.

"Michael looked understandably upset when he reentered the trailer, but he didn't look surprised"

It seems like they're aging up her wardrobe. I'm enjoying these fashion choices more than I have in past seasons when they dressed her like a 20 year old.

I liked Josh Cooley's better. Probably because he hit on stuff I'm actually a fan of, and the artwork is closer to what I remember from the Little Golden Books I had as a kid.

I saw it in the theater when they were doing the late night limited screening gimmick ahead of its wide release, and yeah… it completely ruined the movie. There was a group talking and laughing through it, so no tension built up at all. People were screaming at them to shut up and they just wouldn't.

I was also born in the mid 70s. When I was maybe 11, my uncle sat me down and made me watch The Day After that he'd recorded on VHS when it aired. Between that and the Twilight Zone episode where the lady stops time to stop nuclear bombs from exploding, I was full on terrified of nuclear war. I had nightmares for

Especially since each season of the show covers one year. I wouldn't call this a gimmick at all. It's just a continuation of what the show is, albeit in a more compressed running time.

I recently caught First Blood after not having seen it in at least a couple of decades. I was impressed with how well it's held up.

I'm missing some of the old choreographers, too. (Although, overall I'm preferring Phoenix and Pharside routines over NappyTabs.) I think a lot of it is that they're just not spending as much time with the choreographers in the rehearsal packages, so the new ones aren't developing as personalities for viewers. These

No doubt. When Alan Frew is Prime Minister, my back will be the first against the wall.
