@hmpc_enthusiast: Wrong. It's an open secret that elements of Pakistan's ISI have been assisting both the Taliban and Al-Qaeda for many years. Letting Pakistan in on the plan would have resulted in mission failure.

That's all well and good, but will PSN really be up and running this week?

It still sucks. It's easier to navigate, but everything that broke when 5.0 came online is still broke. Linking articles to Facebook dumps you to the front page (still), comment system's still borked (replies still don't link back to user IDs and comments, no heartclicks, etc., etc.), butt-ugly research-paper font.
Ah, I remember Mysteries of the Unkown. I'm a sucker for its contents, even if I hardly believe in any of it. I never read them, but I still have the Reader's Digest version Mysteries of the Unexplained, covering most of the same subject matter, but in one handy volume, at my mom's.
Illegal immigrants claiming U.S. citizenship is one thing, but interstellar aliens? How many borders is that, and did he get a free pass because he happened to be a white alien? I also fail to understand why Superman would even care about citizenship. Sure, he's an American icon, but let's face it: he doesn't need…
"Knowing" was pretty cheesy, but I still liked it. It's not just that I'm easily amused, but it somehow managed to be a little interesting despite its failed effort at profundity, and that ending was pretty striking and visually attractive for something that didn't quite have a Michael Bay budget attached to it.
Wow, that logo looks really modern for being nearly 50 years old. Anyway, I could swear when I was very little I saw a Columbia Pictures logo for a very old movie, and for some reason, the torch lady started stepping off her platform and walking towards the screen. I ran from the room screaming, thinking she was going…
"Bloodfart" and "buttnugger" are my new favorite words.
@OnePumpChump: Putting the smackdown on the king of the goons is never a bad thing.
"Losing money"=/= "stealing". Sensationalist much? Many of us are on edge because of this security breach for many reasons, so can you please dial down the misleading headlines a bit?
Thanks, we feel much better, and part of the reason we moved was to avoid them coming back (especially if it was an inside job), but it's mostly because we felt violated. We've been in our current place for nearly a year and a half, and it's safe, clean and comfortable. That combination is hard to come by here at a…
@Barada_nikto_byotch: Have you been burglarized before? It really is a terrible feeling; after surveying the damage, we couldn't leave the house for four or five days and lost a lot of sleep. Within two weeks we got out from the lease and moved to a new apartment complex in a much better part of town. We have an…
That is horrible, Mr. Fahey, just horrible.. I suffered a break-in of my old house apartment at the end of 2009, and I was surprised at how savvy the thieves were. Here's quick breakdown:
@ENDofDAYSisNOW: Um, no. This is a reputable vendor we're talking about here, attacked by a bunch of butthurt hackers. Before that happened, my information was secure, and I think going out to the store for prepaid cards whenever I want games or add-on content is impractical. Anyway credit cards are easier to resolve…
Netflix definitely works on PSN, even though you need to jump through the login screen hoop a couple times to get in.
Ah, you mean comments on other sites besides Kotaku. I certainly don't think whoever these hackers are are doing it for the good of the consumer or the gaming community. Hell, I've had to check my banking info just to make sure it wasn't tampered with and I've been worried about that all weekend. (It hasn't, at least…
@adgeman: Do you mean Anonymous? We don't know yet if it was them, but since it has no leaders, no ranks, and no formal organization, any guess is a good one. I'd bet it was people who called themselves Anon during the geohot debacle, but have gone nameless for this hack attack. Anonymous could say it didn't do it…
I just checked my account balance, and everything's kosher so far, but this has had me worried since the weekend. I hope that banking information wasn't siphoned out of PSN, but in the meantime, all of us on it are going to have to stay vigilant. Good luck everyone, and sorry for anyone who may be a monetary victim…
@AlfLup: F) is an insult to dogs everywhere.
