The View will be just fine if she leaves. There’s no shortage of mildly attractive, socially tone-deaf blondes out there.

Yes, it’s been pointed out to me the author provided more clarity on his Twitter feed for some reason. Additionally, his colleague on Gizmodo (Bryan Menegus) was a bit more thorough in his coverage.

Cool. And yeah, completely familiar with the tactic of buying up related urls for phishing purposes, etc... That sort of clarity really belonged in the article itself though, but I do appreciate you going to Twitter and getting it for me.

“GrubHub has been allegedly buying the URL of thousands of restaurants...Many of the GrubHub-owned pages resemble the restaurant’s actual site.”

Climbing the ladder would’ve produced no substantively positive results. All he would’ve accomplished is gawking at children as if they were in a zoo.

Just so I understand the point here...With no perceivable positive result to be achieved, simply gawking at the kids as if they were in a viewing zoo would’ve been a good thing?

Just let go of the torch, sir, and the flames will dissipate.

I’m confident he’ll find a way to somehow blame his wife for this as well.

Abdul’s always been the best kind of crazy. You stick to your story, darlin’.

Exactly right. So it’d literally be the only thing needed on the resume of anyone involved with the iteration which completely and utterly ends smoking forever. (as unlikely as that seems)

Any agency or firm they wanted, in fact. If they were part of a campaign that ended smoking, they’d be in extremely high demand.

If smoking was ever eradicated by an advertising campaign, anyone associated with the work could write their own ticket at pretty much any agency in the country.

As a longtime NYCC’er, I learned a valuable lesson years ago... The panel’s over when the Q&A portion starts. Leaving at that point puts me ahead of the game for the next long line I want to stand in.

Drink your beer and live your own life, dude.

Yup. As I said in an earlier response, my comment re: HOAs and insurance was limited by my own personal awareness of urban scenarios, and I wasn’t considering the larger communal picture in other areas outside of that.

That’s not a dagger. It’s just a inapt comparison.

I don’t disagree the overall intent was to give potential homeowners more financial angles to consider, but I’d argue any article providing potential pros and cons on the subject is inherently feeding into the “buy vs. rent” conversation.

Owning OR renting outside urban areas requires the purchase of a vehicle (generally), so it shouldn’t be considered a cost specific to one or the other. But your point is well made about insurance and HOA fees. I had tunnel vision on that due to my personal condo ownership where the combination of the two is quite

You’re absolutely right, of course, although the same could be said for folks who decide to rent outside an urban center due to budgetary or other concerns. I should’ve been clearer in my statement, and said owning a car has zero business being factored in as a hidden cost of homeownership specifically.
