It’s a little odd to damn this record with a C when the one band you choose to name-drop in your bio is R.E.M., a band with more phoned-in C’s than inspiring A’s (if we’re being honest with ourselves). Don’t tase me—I like R.E.M. just fine. But I’d take that C with a grain of salt. After a few listens to the (purple!)
