She doesn't conform to sexist ideas of femininity.
She doesn't conform to sexist ideas of femininity.
How dare you inject sincere optimism into this discussion!
How do you read all that tumblr-spew and tell me it isn't much of a problem?
I'm thrilled you don't control the show, I'm also thrilled it isn't the real world.
Drool out misandry, by all means, like a good little robot.
How to describe blue to the blind? Hm.
She isn't, because that doesn't exist in real life.
Ah, misogynist, there's the mouthpiece response, like a good robot. For someone supposedly in academia you're rather dull witted, I refer you to "The real one.", and yes, Jon Hamm is out of your league, and Halle Berry is out of my league, hence "The real one." once again, which escaped your iron clad grasp.
Ah, when it happens to women it's empowering, when it happens to men it's an entitlement trope.
The real one.
I would be pretty let down if her reasons were purely cynical, but maybe it's too fantastic for some people, to think a woman like her could even be interested in a guy like him.
Wow, sexist.
That much I agree with, I was just put off by the subtext.
Those two characters are in each others' leagues, and then Jordan and Cosima are both quirky weirdos, so again, is the assertion that there isn't any chemistry because a guy like him isn't 'allowed' to get a girl like her? He should have someone in his league?
"This makes her offer to get a drink with Richard after this all blows
over all the more frustrating, as it’s a rote course of action for a
show to pair its male and female leads despite an utter lack of romantic
chemistry between the two—a lack that’s been apparent in their various
interactions this season"
“Everybody here doesn’t hate me, right?” and the long pause afterward"
I'm rather baffled by how his perpetual maliciousness was misconstrued into lesser misogyny, and viewing women as props.
"Like House Of Cards, another show with British roots, Veep
arguably exaggerates the power of party leadership in the United
States. It’s hard to imagine Hillary Clinton giving a crap whether Harry
Reid shows up at her campaign announcement."
Oh, you!
The episode seems to be an obvious setup to a Toxic invasion, we already established these things were human in the aforementioned S&M episode, the show usually takes the long run so I don't expect this to be picked up until next season.
