I actually use a micro SD card (with an adapter) for my current 3DS. Should I still select "PC-Based Transfer" in Step 9 and then just skip the whole computer part and simply insert my "old" micro SD into the New 3DS?

Just called my store on 86th Street and Lexington here in Manhattan and they're taking pre-orders right now. Be warned: you'll have to pay in full, same as last week.
