Definitely not equally great, but that would be fun.

I was actually thinking about this episode earlier today, though in the context of Susan yelling at how Jerry and Elaine sit around various places talking all day. Eery.
Putting a hat on a zombie to show Daryl which one to shoot with the crossbow.
King talks a big game about his disdain for some of his adaptations. I'd like to see him send forth the lobstrosities from Drawing of the Three to show he's not just full of hot wind.
Credited as Bachman in a twist that only fans of King who watch TV credits can get all giddy about.
I'd forgive The Walking Dead for its uneven plot/character distribution if Bubbles had a cameo as a zombie still pushing his shopping cart selling copies of the Baltimore Sun.
I liked the Eli/Finn stuff, though I'm hoping for better things to come. Nightcrawler/Ozymandias has tons of potential.
Reign is pretty awful in a way that's perfect for The CW and serves as a perfect countershow to all the BBC/Premium cable costume dramas. I didn't want to like it, but I do.
Next time I see Newhart in America, I'll tell him he should do more Shaw plays.
He's one of the most treasured American television actors of all time. That delivery seems stereotypical, because people have been ripping off his act for decades.
Newhart perfected the art of sitcom joke delivery. While a Parks & Rec appearence would be amazing, I don't blame him for booking a gig on one of TV most popular shows while doing a routine similar to the stuff that made him a legend.
I hope Obi-Wan KeNewhart comes back for some advice from the Florida swamps, even it was basically Spock action figure pt. 2. It wasn't the funniest episode of the season, but it's definitely one of my favorites.
I agree for the most part, but I saw a few too many Bechdel related Pacific Rim articles. It's hard to argue against them as they're accurate, but to point that out ignores the cardboard characters and foolish plot.
I would be much happier if Captain Phillips was nominated for no awards and if Blue Jasmine got a Best Picture nod.
I address a few of your concerns in a comment a little further down, mainly pertaining to the double standard of the test and its effectiveness as a slogan for criticism against predominantly male casts.
And yet Tyler Perry gets no AV Club love. Temptation is on Netflix…
I'm not making the same point as the author though. The author says that to use Gravity against the Bechdel test is to misunderstand its purpose. That might be fine on its own, but then later on as you said, "the fact that so few of the most lauded and highest-grossing films pass is an indication that the lack of…
I did, I don't see anywhere in the article that contains a point about Bechdel's own work and how its often repetitive. I also don't see a tongue in cheek New Hope reference.
Does anyone else think they should've used the short 13 episode season to keep them in high school another season? Season 3 has had very few academic scenes and while that might be because Rex Lee is gone, I'm not really anxious to see them graduate either. It feels rather incomplete.
I've read both of Bechdel's graphic novels. She tells a good story, albeit one that's always about her. A reverse Bechdel test should contain a scene where two non Bechdel characters talk about anything other than growing up in an intellectual yet repressed environment.
