“MSG heart issues” - 3rd link (actually working link included below)

A reasonable person would expect that a website doesn’t publish articles about how any side-effects you may experience after consuming MSG is just in your head:

No reasonable person would expect everything contain warning that something could be bad for a small number of people.

I get what you’re saying, but no reasonable person would argue with someone about whether their peanut/tree nut/shellfish allergy was legitimate, BUT people do this all the time when the subject of MSG comes up. That’s the difference. If you mention that it’s a problem for you, people come crawling out of the woodwork

Same here. Plus my mouth and throat begin immediately itching, and my throat begins to tighten. It’s scary as shit. And then the headache that follows is a doozy, regardless of how much water I can possibly consume afterwards.

A reasonable person certainly would expect everything to contain warnings about potential allergy triggers. That’s the exact reason why they exist—to protect the lives and health of “outliers”. You don’t go off on similar rants when you see labels like “manufactured in a facility that also processes tree nuts”, do

but no one is writing articles saying there’s nothing wrong with nuts, it’s all in your head, grow up, etc..

what’s with the MSG proselytizing these days? why is it seemingly important to you to “set everyone straight”?

Zounds....just 20%? Oh sir, that first 15% needs to cover the hard work of just merely being present. Then as you mentioned, the mental distress, the rude customers taking a toll on his psyche, which all the nice customers need to pitch in another 15%(but ideally more) to compensate.

He still should have tipped at least 20% on the drink. Maybe more to compensate the bartender for the mental distress of being forced to cooperate in the scheme by the billionaire owners of the bar.

You must be new to this column, Salty’s takes and the comments are always hilariously biased in favour of the restaurant.

It’s par for the course for this column series; the customer is always wrong (and is an asshole, and should be tipping better).

I feel like it’s strange that so many people are defending the cashier here. Sure the guy didn’t miss his flight and wasn’t inconvenienced that much, but even if the cashier was dealing with something important, they could have not texted for the 30 seconds it takes to complete the transaction and given the customer

Listen, we had our chance to contract the Twins back around 2002. All they’ve done since is go 2-19 in the Playoffs- almost entirely against the Yankees.

The McRib is pretty disgusting.

It definitely does

“is there an option I haven’t considered?”

For some reason I was never able to get into these. I worked at McD’s back in high school and the place would be a madhouse when McRibs were available. But to me, that soft, mushy “rib” meat was more like Spam slathered in over-sweet BBQ sauce.

I fear the particular styles of the pizza’s skewed your “research”. Pizza’s, like wine, should be judged within specific categories and subcategories:

By far better than any of those tested. Why wasn’t this brand included? My favorite is the Newman’s Margherita.
