World domination is hard — just ask Vladimir Putin.
Too late. And this is the unscented variety.
Jamie, thanks again for this wonderful series. It is very enlightening, even though the affects are anything but uplifting. I have never knew the majority of what you have written even though I was born in the city named after Kettering.
A few months back I called my local Porsche dealership to inquire about test driving a Taycan. I was totally up front about it being out of my price range, but I have been very interested in this car since the concept in 2015. I mentioned that the [still unannounced] Macan EV may be attainable depending on price.
I believe the words you are looking for are “move fast and break things”. The things in this sense are the people and objects outside of the silicon valley bubble due to half-baked solutions and software.
38 and father of two myself. However I have been anxiously awaiting the Macan EV announcement for quite some time but we seem to be in the same orbital area.
RATM. Damn right
How would the driver and passenger feel if that person on the bike was a sibling of one of them? What about a spouse? Or parent? Would they still be singing its praises if they felt the semi-autonomous system was in the trajectory of a loved one?
I can’t wait for Porsche to announce the Macan EV in the coming months with the 800V PPE architecture. Guaranteed to sell like hotcakes.
When If the roadster comes out and someone from a northern climate buys one Tesla will removed there ability to open the top since they only use it 5 days a year.
Yeah, that was 12 years ago and made in very low numbers. Needs a reboot. I think a Safari Panamera Cross Turismo would also be pretty cool, or even Taycan.
Kyle Conner (Out of Spec Motoring on YouTube) moved from NC to CO a couple years back and drove a REX i3 the whole way filling up a gallon and a half at a time. I think somewhere in Missouri his credit card was blocked due to odd spending habits and he had to call to get it reactivated. I thought that was pretty…
The original Model S (40 kWh RWD version) launched in 2013 for an MSRP of $57400 (or $49900 after the federal incentive).
Good luck finding a pre-1999 Celica GT-S in good condition, they were never considered as desirable as the Integra and most have not been maintained well. That said, I have a soft spot for the T200 (1994-1999) so I get excited whenever I see one in the wild.
I have empathy for those that have empathy for others, many car dealers do not fall into that camp since they try to milk every last penny out of the deal (new cars) or lie about condition (used) just to get you to drive away. The games purchasers need to play is absurd and it doesn’t need to be that way. And I’m…
Here they are, I found the only person in the country that enjoys working with dealerships (either that or someone working at a dealership that fears losing their job). I have a hint if you are the latter - be honest, be respectful, be less of a pain to deal with and you can keep your job.
Addendum: The Porsche 911 hasn’t made that little power since the 996.1 Carrera in 2001 with the 3.4L M96.
Thought experiment:
Hot take: I really like the new Kia logo. Maybe it’s just me, but I like it’s simplicity.
