I’m disappointed this was not contested or refuted as well. There is a mountain of reputable evidence to the contrary. I have also been annoyed by comments saying auto stop/start systems use more energy than they save.

The Supra was rumored and hyped for near 20 years. The entire cycle between announcement and shipping of the Taycan will be 2 years, so your equivalence is only an order of magnitude off.
That said, the average car age in America right now is 11 years, so well-built and designed vehicles are lasting much longer with more miles than ever before. I still think 72+ month loans are nuts for other reasons (over-extension of available funds, risk of loss due to accident, etc), but the vast majority of cars…
“Kills pedestrians fast.”
The only thing this will be slaying is tires and onlookers.
I have a 2013 Prius with 100K miles we bought brand new 5 years ago. Still original pads and rotors. About two years ago I did a PM service of just lubricating all the slide surfaces and the slide pins. They are starting to squeak a bit every morning when I get the car out, but it goes away by the time I get two the…
I’m confused that 0.6 sec is considered ‘mega’ in one sentence, and in the next, 0.4 sec is considered not much of a difference. A totally agree that ‘base’ 911 variants (read: not GT or Turbo) are getting ridiculously powerful and fast. Basically anything with a Porsche badge today is quicker to 60 than a 959. What…
So we both agree this is not a 1984 time capsule.
I’ll be the one to say it: the VIN may be 1984, but the mods are clearly 1994 (the ride height, wheels, horsepower, etc) are not period correct for the early model years of the first gen S-10 blazer (which ran from 1982 until 1994).
David, I had no idea you were such a hardened criminal.
I’m in Cincinnati and saw this ad a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, he’s not the only unrealistic 944 owner in the area, another with a Turbo S 944 in decidedly driver’s condition is asking $25K for what he clearly thinks is a museum piece.
And when the Volt’s battery is flat what is the mileage? Not even in the ballpark of the Plug-In Prius (1st Gen) or Prime Prime (2nd Gen). So how is it so advanced? One area only: battery size.
Firestone Champion Fuel Fighters? Those are abysmal.
Not enough stars. Brilliance. Utter brilliance.
You missed the opportunity to get the best all-arounders to get the best of both worlds - All Season with 3MPSF (three mountain peak snowflake) rating.
Get off my lawn! No one makes fun of the Corvette for being a front engine V8 two seater since 1955, I just don’t get the hate for using a design language that resonates with customers for half a century. Singers command ridiculous prices for a reason, the same goes for all new 911 models as well.
The Jeremy Clarkson jokes are no longer funny. Besides, which one do you think will be more reliable in every use imaginable (daily, track, hot, cold, rain)?
My first and last name anagrams to Amber Knightly. I’ll create such an establishment if you can guess my real name.
That can’t be real, I think that picture was Photosnot
Called it.
