I used to watch the F1 races from atop a motor home from that spot.

It’s a good guess to think there’s no way that air-y, thin-pillared greenhouse that was so lovely in the original KG would pass modern safety design goals. And the myriad regulations, incl pedestrian safety would affect the body design in ways that lead me to believe this is at least a realistic rendering. (Not mine -

When I was a kid we flew a military charter back to NYC from Frankfurt on a Lockheed L-188 Electra. It took forever. Had to stop in Iceland and Newfoundland (for fuel, I assume). Being able to look out the window and see the ground in decent detail was kinda neat.
