I’m no genius, but I wonder if something like this, bolted to and spanning the two Japanese plate mounting holes wouldn’t then allow you to bolt the domestic plate securely to the affixed perforated strip.

The marketplace has changed greatly since 2006. “Does it have a Hemi?” isn’t anywhere to be seen from FCA, and Hummers are once again only hummers. V6 F150s aren’t shunned.

I don’t know - but from the looks of this pic, the windshield cowl/firewall/engine placement relationship seems undisturbed, so it looks like they’ve pushed the front wheels forward and hung new sheet metal, then cut the chassis at the B pillar and removed the section of the body where the back seats are/were.

IMO, the least horrible of these would be the next gen Seville in convertible form - that slope-y trunk and lack of bizarre greenhouse almost work with that ridiculous extended nose.
