How ‘bout NO outer door handle? - the side-curtained British roadsters (like this ‘62 Midget Mk1) had doors with basically no inner door cards and were opened by reaching inside and pulling a cable that was attached to the latch.

I just wish they had built more than two. I’d love to see one in the air, and with only one surviving, that’ll never happen.
