No, not at all. I think it’s good he clarified. If the old dude was wanking to pictures of a 20 year old, then he shouldn’t be labeled as a freak, or a pedo.

I don’t understand your frustration. Are you mad because it is technically incorrect to refer to Polanski or R. Kelly as pedophile? They are still PREDATORS, ABUSERS, and MONSTERS.
It’s just that Pedophilia is a specific condition, attraction to prepubescent bodies, therefore not always applicable.
I don’t think it’s so much that it’s called Native American as that it’s a particularly tired trope to use vague, possibly fictional aspects of Native American culture to prop up a story about white people.
If the football team name ‘Redskins’ is considered culturally insensitive and borderline racist these days, a plot involving rotting pets coming to life because ‘Native American burial ground’ sounds doubly so. Not exactly a‘woke’ storyline. I had to check. Yup, it was indeed filmed in Canada. The home for all the bad…

Ah, but the comment refers to Wayne, not his alter ego. Bale’s Wayne is a monk with a billionaire playboy cover. Affleck’s Wayne is pathologically a billionaire playboy; you get the sense that he buys expensive shit and drinks and (occasionally) charms for many of the same reasons he puts on the suit. He wants the…
The compelling villain in Luke Cage was Cottonmouth, not Diamondback. But, that show did follow the same pattern as this one in that they filled in the backstory of Cottonmouth in the episode they killed him off. They telegraph this pretty hard.
I’m sure this was covered in the pre-Kinjapocalypse comments, but the “Just because I don’t blind my disciples…” line was a reference to Gao’s blind, culty heroin packagers/couriers from DD S1.
What you’ve just said sounds INCREDIBLY interesting... too bad no one ever said it on either show!
I liked that Matt played the theme to Daredevil on the piano.
Eh, reposting for posterity.
Oddly enough, I found that first scene with Alexandra and the gramophone (in the screencap above)to be one of the most emotionally affecting of the whole series. Weaver acted the hell out of it, from the consternation when she notices the skip, to the intense scrutiny to find the cause, to the dismay that the record…
As someone who already deals with Kinja for io9/Lifehacker/Jez, et al, I thought it was BS the way everyone threw a hissy surrounding the move. I really thought, just wait, they’ll come back...
They were reticent to bring back the community grading system last time, and now - since they’ll clearly hate their audience - it’s probably going to be awhile, if they choose to bring it back.
It would also be great if the episodes were listed in order. Took me a while to find this one.
I am as confused about how this kinja commenting system works as Danny Rand always is about everything.
So you know that little card with the reviews listed and the letter grade? Yeah that would be great if you could bring that back?
“Wilson Fisk, Kilgrave, Diamondback”
“The closeted perv has never come out as gay”
Because he very well may not be; being a child predator /= gay. Abusive sex is about power, not identity.
Wait until it is out before you assume the worst.
