My ap0logies to both @livingonvideo and @spideygwenonburnside for repeating some of your points in my own comment. Threading is not my strong-suit.

She didn’t get fridged, she sacrificed herself for the cause. That’s like the opposite of getting fridged. I know some folks are griping about the only female O.A. dying, but in this world among many, to die for the cause is the highest honor. And the fact that she’s a better fighter than Hawkeye means she got to

Agreed. It just feels lazy at this point. I was hoping they’d retcon the source of evil for this one. If the metaphor of America’s sins haunting us were to hold more weight, why aren’t these sources of evil on the locations of genocides and slaughters, rather than a space where people buried their dead?
Unless King

Is there a point to the dressage moves during the Beast fight? Or just killing time and looking fancy?

I still havent seen The Music Man, but I can sing the Monorail song from the Simpsons by heart.

Shit, now that’s a villain I’d enjoy trying to understand! I have a feeling that theory is a bit too smart for the current brand of Marvel writing, though.

I swear I recognize that actress, but I don’t know from where. Anyone know who she is?

Answering your original question, and ignoring the DC/Marvel divide, I’d suggest we build a time machine and get Matt to play Hawkeye from the first Thor onwards. Please.

The New Yorker gave Hail Caesar a rave review, which is why I saw it. So, The New Yorker is officially off my “to be trusted” list.

Don’t forget to bite your lip while you give smoldering elevator eyes.

It’s nice to see Mizuno so expressive after Ex Machina’s stone-faced role.

I do Nut know what any of you are talking about.

I’m fairly sure “Silent Movie” doesn’t equal actual silence, but rather only score, sometimes sound effects, and no dialogue.

The art for God of Thunder is particularly wonderful, too.

I think all the Del Toro movies have had one straight-on full frame gore scene, and this film is no different.

This looks like claymation to me. What’s the difference between puppets and claymation? Just the material of the models?

Yeah, I felt the same way. But my film prof insisted it was to be read in the opposite way. That’s art for ya.

Ayup. After the horror show of the comics, I’m happy to keep Furiosa’s story as is. No need to wade into dangerous territory of fucking it up.

“every damn vagina is different”
While that’s true, I think you mean “vulva.” The vagina is just the tube. The vulva is the entirety of the female genitals.
This may sound pedantic, but not knowing the correct words is one of the reasons so many guys remain mystified by our bodies.

Favorite because it’s most likely true: Hurst manufactured “Reefer Madness” because he owned lumber and wanted to kill the hemp industry.
Favorite because it’s totally batshit: Disney(’s head) on ice.
