People still use VCRs?

What are the odds then that Tampa picks Mariota and fucks the whole thing up?

Hmmm. My Hyundai Sonata isn’t on here. I’m bummed.

As a semi-old (mid-40s), I have never even thought about not showing ID. WTF?

“spleen hanging out of his mouth” is my new “he’s a badass” athlete description. lol.

I’ve always assumed most racing series are not “off the rack” these days. Which is a pity.

but if he keeps playing at or near this level, this whole thing is going to only get more and more awkward.

Stay classy, Yankees.

I’d think Richard Petty has the bones to cover the expense. It’s what I’d do, but I’m not a millionaire.

Definitely with you on that. I was just pointing out the WTF nature of having to beg for money. I hope somehow that family finds peace in all this trauma.

Like I said, I’m not knocking them for it, but I see this stuff all the time. Charity fundraisers, charity concerts, charity convenience store buckets. I hope they raise the amount, and if I had it, I’d contribute this month (I’m trying to meet my own bills right now, unfortunately).

I was expecting more of this:

Am I the only one who thinks it’s a goddamn shame that someone in this country should have to do the digital equivalent of a convenience store donation jar for funeral expenses?

Very good point. But the NHL playoffs seem to be the time when everyone plays unless they’re lacking a pulse. Who was it a few years ago who basically played with a fractured leg?

This ... is not a truck.

The most dangerous teams in the hockey playoffs are the ones who get healthy right at the end of the season, it seems to me (could be a Regressing post in that statement). Hope Kaner is in playoff form for the ‘Hawks.

It's a fair question. I was just pointing out that the GT blog seems to be pretty base. I'd honestly never heard of any of this before reading the reply to the "hot take" article over the weekend.

Let's hear it for gyros! Yum!!

I followed another post linking that GroupThink blog, and all I have to say about that is, wow, what a gutter kinja site that is. Pinkham should probably apologize for some of what seems to have happened, but that's his burden to bear/decision to make. I've enjoyed his writing on Kitchenette, much as I've enjoyed

Damn, I wish I had 3,000 and a way to get to California.
