Not sure which agencies you've worked, but our state agency employees do have options for merit raises in addition to negotiated raises (although budgets have been slashed so they're non-existent at this point.)

I work in a state agency, and I honestly don't spend that much time computing how my colleagues spend their time. For me there are a lot of meetings and committees I have attend, but that's another not uncommon thing in private industry.
That's one excuse they use, but the truth is they want to lower wages, get rid of pension obligations and be able to fire at will (which is different than having a union-negotiated appeals process to protect the employees' rights).
Looked like the bike was pulling over and had its brake lights on.
"I asked her if it hurts her neck looking down on people so much. She got pissed."
You'll see similar arguments against public employee unions all the time (or unions in general): Why should they make a living wage when I'm working a shitty job making minimum with no job guarantees?
Yeah, I was thinking they need a category. Filed under: Hold My Beer and Watch This
It's a longer coupe hatchback, for more space to store stuff, but with only two passengers. Say you don't want a full wagon or small truck (I'm talking old Datsun style small). I could see this if I was a single musician carrying around gear, for instance.
Um, I can think of a number of cars it's not second best to for what it is. This one seems very spacious in the back. It's not "stupid" just because you don't like it.
How much does a track/country/business have to fork over to F1 to land an event? How short were the Germans?
Why is a shooting brake a stupid design? Serious question. I like wagons and real small trucks better, but I can see its appeal.
I didn't even have to read the article to know which way this was going to go (although I did read the article). You should be getting a nice check from CarMax for all this free advertising. ;)
The only reason I don't hate Cowherd as much or more than I do Skip Bayless is because I don't have to listen to his bullshit radio show or see his smug ass on a regular rotation on ESPN.
"If you read the word "underage" and you automatically jump to a disgusting conclusion, I ask you to perhaps question your own mind and thoughts. Consider the damage such negativity can actually cause, verses actually help."
SMU still had 10 seconds and got off two shots. I can't understand why they went for the 3 though. Get an inside shot and at least tie, possibly get a foul.
Indiana has become gradually insufferable.
This kind of made me sad.
I don't usually get this nit-picky, but unless I misunderstand the system, there are NO Uber cars in NYC, because Uber doesn't own cars. They contract with drivers.
