Wasn't that the dead-beat dad guy?
Wasn't that the dead-beat dad guy?
"a non-insane Republican"
Obligatory:
This is not surprising, sadly.
Hey, Tyler, this is only tangentially F-35 related, but wonder if you've seen this story about the A-10:
When the Mavs first drafted Dirk so high, I was very skeptical. I'm pleased he turned out to be a huge asset to the team.
When I first saw the price in the headline, I was thinking CP all the way. Then, I read the description and photos. Hnnnnng! NP.
Because West Virginia didn't secede, IIRC.
I don't think I'd fault someone who said "this was 100 percent not of my doing."
I can't believe "The View" is still a thing.
If a 200+ lbs. person is lying on top of you, you might be 100% against it, but "your will" isn't going to stop it, especially if you feel your life might be in danger.
A self-selected sample is the same as an online poll. People choose to be a part of the study, but the selection process is not random. It's not all male students at the college, but male students who are in a particular class (usually a psych class if it was like my college).
Welcome to the world of social science research. AFAIK, clearance from the IRB is all they need. The rest is data points.
But what if I want to change lanes?!? :D
Oh, again, I don't want to denigrate the awful findings of the survey, but just pointing out the weaknesses of therefore making blanket statements about all college men. I'd just like more scientific study to back it up, and I think the NIH should fund such study.
I never said you need millions of people. But ~70 of a self-selected sample is not enough.
But do you think this generalizes? I don't think it does.
Thank you for that further link.
I did a survey once where I and another prof e-mailed random professors around the nation and solicited survey responses from students in their classes. We got over 400 responses, with no promise of extra credit.
