@lost_in_hollywood: If you're expecting a unified system that you can just log into, see what your friends are playing, and join them, you're wrong. Wii online play is a "just find a random stranger" type of system, not something like Live or Steam.
ANOTHER WARNING: Some headphone wires CANNOT be spliced. The Zune Headphones (V2) are an example of this. The wires have a plastic coating and a thread down the center, and solder absolutely refuses to flow on them. You'd do better splicing a 3.5mm jack onto the iPhone headset.
@noamjamski: It's actually pretty good. The older drivers/control panel from 2009 were bad. Now, things like anaglyph 3D are supported, and it looks like an actual control panel!
