Mine is 25/25mbps down/up, but for an additional $40, I could have 100/100mbps. It's all just a matter of how much you pay. Low-end fiber on Verizon is around 5 to 10mbps.

I never knew we had a top ten carriers. Just a top 3.

Some people prefer to pay an arm and a leg for a proprietary system with a broken-ass EFI system. They also get some great build quality for their money, along with the most mainstream Unix OS you'll find.

Yep. A diode or two fixes that problem.

I haven't noticed anything on a MacBook Air. In fact, I never knew rollover existed on any of my keyboards.

It is if Microsoft's servers are swamped.

    1. Possibly. It depends on how much Microsoft is changing up the drivers and if Apple is strict about what versions of Windows BC drivers will install on.

I see no issue with those. The torch on the Thunderbolt isn't maglite-grade, but it's good enough that I'll use it frequently.

T-Mobile claims to have 4G (3G+) in my area. That's all fine and dandy, but it helps when I can get basic voice/texting to work indoors first.

    I'd give him a 10 + 1.

This is LTE we're talking about. Without even realizing it, I've burned through 20GB in a week on my smartphone occasionally. Burning data on 3G is like pulling teeth, on LTE, not so much. 1.6mbps vs. 10mbps.

    I pay $60 a month for a 15/15mbps line on Verizon.

So the only issue is that you have to manually enter your APN settings? Fail on Gizmodo's part.

The former students clause is just plain stupid, but if this law *only* applied to current students, or students+2 years afterwards like one commenter mentioned, it's fair game. One of my teachers had a policy: I'm not friending you on FaceBook, Live, etc., but as soon as you graduate, feel free to. Sane- yes,

I'd like to see some P2P support. If Valve would make downloads utilize bittorrent in addition to their main servers, we'd see a lot fewer issues during sales.

I remember one of the Samsung Galaxy S series of phones working on both T-Mobile and AT&T. You just had to buy the T-Mobile version, not the AT&T version.

*In DX11 on Ultra. Then it'll be a bit tougher.

But can it run Crysis 2 with maxed settings? (I'm seriously wondering about this. Anyone care to answer?)

This. The MacBook Air was an awesome purchase for the money about a year ago, when SSDs weren't as cheap as they are now. Going in now, you're better off buying a 13" Pro for the faster processor. 1.86 or 1.6GHz Core 2 Duos really bottleneck you.

They probably bought those crappy R or SL series of Thinkpads. Protip: When buying a Thinkpad, buy only from the T, X, or W lines. No exceptions.
